Do you think because you're a good person, and have never committed a serious crime or never intentionally tried to hurt anyone that you'll go to heaven? Do you even believe there is a heaven or a hell? It's not our job to convince you of anything. It's our job to speak the truth, and the holy spirit does the rest. It's not the eloquent words of a pastor, it's not the teaching we received as children that makes us believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. It's the way he changes your life when you ask him to forgive your sins and come into your heart. It's the way he performs miracles in your life when you seemed so hopeless, you were ready to give up! It's the relationship you develop with Christ that truly makes you a believer.
     The hard part is giving up your pride long enough to realize you need help in this life, and in the next. Living a life with Jesus is not just about going to heaven or hell, although that's the first thing you need to get straight! It's about right here and now. It's about living out the plan God has for your life. I assure you, it's better than anything you can conceive. God will speak to your heart all throughout your life, but if you don't have a relationship with him, you won't know the sound of his voice. It's like having the greatest friend ever, but you don't know his voice because you've never spoken to him before. If you've never accepted Jesus as your Lord & Savior, and you're ready to make the best decision of your life, say this prayer from the heart;
"Lord Jesus, I believe you are the son of God. I believe you died on the cross for me. I believe you rose from the dead three days later. I believe you are alive right now. I ask that you forgive my sins. Come into my life, and into my heart. Make me whole again. Make me the person you've created me to be. Be my Lord, my savior and my best friend.
In Jesus name, Amen."
